WELCOME TO OUR SITE!

August 20, 2021

Covid has changed alot, but the Durham Fair Celebration Event is on its way!

The Durham Agricultural Society is hosting a drive thru parade on Sat. Sept 4th at 1PM and you are invited to 'Drive Thru" the Durham Arena Parking Lot!

Local business owners, clubs and friends have come together to give you a "taste of the fair".

Your first stop will get you a shopping bag and we will ask that you hold it out the window for lots of free stuff!

Along the way you will see our SPARE CHANGE CANOE and we have set a goal to try to fill it up!

But be ready....We also have our boxed pies 15$ ea or 3$ a slice.... pop and water for 1$, fresh squeezed lemonade 4$ a cup, candy floss& popcorn is 2$ a bag!

Oh...and did we mention the 20grand? Our 50/50 tickets cost 20$ ea...but if we sell all the tickets (only 2000 were printed) our grand prize draw taking place July 1st 2022 at the Durham Homecoming will be worth $20,000.00!

PLEASE....have exact change so we can keep us all safe and the line moving! Our bike draw will be at 4pm and at dusk, our local Durham Lions Club will present their Canada Day Fireworks!

It's gonna be a great day! Let see what we can do to fill that canoe..roll on through...- can't wait to see you!!

Most Sincerely,
Deb Tucker- President- Durham Agricultural Society

The Society

The Durham Agricultural Society is in the business of agri-tainment.

Our focus is hosting a fall fair that is informative, educational and fun. We strive each year to offer an insight into the agricultural diversity and excellence of the Durham area, as well as to showcase the many talents of our community members. The fall fair also provides family entertainment in the form of Fun Factory games, parade, horse and wagon rides, music and good food.

It is an opportunity for urban neighbours to connect with rural living and for friends to meet friends. The Society organizes English and western horse shows, 4H cattle and sheep shows, pet show, homecraft competitions in knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, baking, preserves, crafts, photography as well as children's work and school work. The Durham and District Community Centre grounds come alive on Labour Day weekend with the sights, sounds, and smells of the fall fair. Come and join us for a diversity of fall fair fun.
